  3. Acceptance ; Accepting the client unconditionally. Shedding off any biases towards the client.
  4. Positive regard ; Displaying a good attitude and handling the client with dignity and respect.
  5. Confidentiality ; Maintaining the client’s information in confidence.
  6. Genuine ; Being real and serious in dealing with a client , without appearing being fake and untrustworthy.
  7. Ethical standards ; Adhering to professional standards governing the counselling process and practice.
  8. Congruence ; Maintaining consistency in your verbal and nonverbal communication.
