- Test length —-Longer tests have adequate content hence reliable.
- Group homogeneity—- The more the heterogeneity in a group , the more the reliability and the more the homogeneity the less the reliability.
- Speed test —- Speed test is the one in which the examinees do not have time to respond to some questions for which they know the answers.
- Test difficulty —- A test should not be too easy or too hard. Test of moderate level of complexity has reliabilility.
- Objectives —- Objective tests are more reliable than subjective tests.
- Clarity of instructions —- Items which are clear have high reliability.
- Conditions of testing —- The testing procedure should not be different especially in a test-reset technique.
